When does my free trial period for my new HANA database start and end?
The free trial period lasts 30 days and starts on the day the HANA database is made available to you, ending 30 days later.
During the trial period you can use our support for any questions you might have.

How can I keep using my HANA database after the trial period?
Within the 30-day trial period you’ll receive an offer from us. If you want to keep using your HANA database in the Cloud, you should send us your order within the trial period. Otherwise, after 30 days you’ll no longer be able to access your HANA database.
Once we receive your order, we’ll arrange a date with you to discuss and plan the migration of your production environment.

What happens to my data on the SAP Business One HANA database if I don't send Cloudiax an order to keep using the HANA database after the 30-day trial?
Your data on the HANA database is deleted after 30 days if we don’t receive your order within the trial period.

Which SAP Business One versions are supported for migrating from SQL to HANA?
The following SAP Business One releases are supported for migration to SAP Business One 9.3, the version for SAP HANA: SAP Business One 9.0 PL 04 or higher, SAP Business One 9.1, SAP Business One 9.2. Older SAP releases on request.
Very important: only the second-to-latest version can ever be migrated, since the migration process always includes a mandatory update. So if your SAP on SQL is already on the latest version, you’ll need to wait for the next patch before we can migrate the databases to HANA!

What happens to my custom content, like print definitions, stored procedures and queries, after the migration from SQL to HANA?
Custom content like queries and print definitions may need to be adjusted manually. But these adapted reports and queries might not even be needed anymore under HANA, since the HANA version already offers far more analysis options out of the box.
Your stored procedures are carried over automatically if they don’t use SQL-specific functions.
We run the pre-check. After that we know what can’t be migrated automatically, or whether the databases go through cleanly, and can then be migrated and deployed directly.
Either way, you get a pre-check, an error list, tips and a list of the relevant SAP Notes free of charge.
If some adjustments are needed, you can ask your consulting Partner to support you with that. We can also help you find a SAP Business One Partner if you don’t have one yet.

What about Add-Ons? Are they automatically adjusted after the migration?
There are now many Add-Ons that migrate without any trouble. These include: all SAP Add-Ons like Payment, Datev, Elster, EFM Format Definition, Screen Painter; all Boyum Add-Ons like B1UP, Beas, Boyum CRM for Outlook, B1 iPayment; all Coresuite Add-Ons, including its modules, except Enterprise Search (a native HANA feature); Coresuite Cloud Connector; Abbaccus HCM; Intercompany from SAP; Apparel & Footwear; CKS.DMS; LPOne InformEtica; Produmex Scan; Maringo; and more…
For other Add-Ons, we’ll know after the pre-check. The vendor may need to make adjustments.
Some Add-On vendors haven’t made their Add-On HANA-ready at all yet. In that case an alternative Add-On would need to be used, or a migration isn’t possible.

What about application servers? Are they migrated too?
By arrangement, we can migrate other application servers – such as web servers, bank connections and more – to the new system.

What licenses do I need for the migration?
Our products and solutions, including the migration from SQL to HANA, do not include SAP Business One or Add-On licenses.
You’re completely free in your choice of license. You can simply bring your existing purchase licenses, buy new licenses from the SAP consulting firm of your choice (on-premise licenses), or rent them (Cloud licenses). OEM licenses that come bundled with an industry solution based on SAP Business One can also be used at Cloudiax. It’s worth comparing options here and getting expert advice from one of the many local Cloudiax Partners. Cloudiax is happy to help you find one.
All other necessary licenses (operating systems, access licenses, antivirus, SQL, etc.) are included in the migration to HANA. The SAP HANA license is included with SAP rental licenses. With on-premise licenses, a separate SAP HANA database must be purchased. It’s best to talk to your local SAP consulting firm about this too.
